  Sun City Community Church in Summerlin, Las Vegas is a small and friendly church. My wife and I have attended a number of times. We're in our 40s, and we're usually "the kids", a s Sun City is a retirement community within Summerlin. When we've taken our mothers to the service, they've greatly enjoyed the traditional worship music, welcoming spirit, and the pastor's sense of humor.
  
  These days, it seems like almost every church is attempting to compete with a rock concert, playing contemporary Christian praise songs, and often fielding a full rock band to get the blood pumping. It's refreshing to have a chance for quiet reflection in church.

  My wife and I were married for 6 1/2 years and were still searching for a church where we both felt comfortable and closer to God. We had each spent most of our lives in different Christian denominations, and both of us felt like most of our past church experiences left much to be desired. We felt we might each have to make some compromise in order to both agree on attending the same worship services. After visiting countless churches in Las Vegas, we discovered the small Sun City Community Church even though we don't live in Sun City. From the first Sunday we attended a service here in January '09, I knew I was through wandering. We found our "home" and the most loving, genuine congregation we've ever known in any previous church experience. Neither of us has ever made so many warm-hearted friends in such a short time... nor have been drawn closer to God!
